finally!!
Rice is a staple ingredient in most households. It’s so versatile and goes well with practically anything. On that note, I feel like cooking rice has just been over-complicated! I promise it isn’t hard. You don’t even need a rice cooker! Here, I will teach you how to cook rice in an instant pot, on the stove, and in a pan to make my favorite crispy rice. These are my tried and true ways to make the best rice ever.

Firstly, it is important that the rice is fully cooked. Secondly, it’s also very important that it’s not mushy on the outside or underdone on the inside, but perfectly fluffy and defined – as pictured above. Thirdly, my first secret is to not do what the label on the back of the rice bag says. Yes! That’s correct. That method is incorrect! Rice labels typically say 2:1 water to rice. Trust me, it never comes out good! You always want to cook rice in a 1:1 method. 1 cup water to 1 cup rice. This method is the same no matter how many cups you are preparing of dry rice. 4 cups of rice will still be 4 cups of water!
Keep in mind, this method is for dry, regular rice. Not instant rice!
