Easy Front Porch Decorating Ideas

Summer is here and as the seasons change it’s so fun to change up your front door and porch decor. This summer I have simple tricks to have the cutest door on your street or in your complex! The staple for a cute front door is a wreath (obvs), a doormat, and at least a plant or two! The pros use symmetry for a personalized, cohesive design. Meaning, identical planters on either side of the door with matching plants. It keeps things looking uniform and intended!

DIY Summer Wreath:

For under $10 you can make this minimal summer ring wreath out of Dollar Tree florals, jewelry wire, and the wreath ring came in a set of three from Walmart! I chose to use just the large one. Watch how I made this wreath!

Summer Plant Tips:

First, let’s talk planters for the front door. Tall planters give a more luxe feeling when coming to the front door. Mainly because tall planters tend to be more expensive but y’all know me, I love a good deal! This tall metal planter is so cute and only costs $15!!! Such a steal.

Ferns make for a great front door plant but when I was plant shopping, I noticed this gorgeous full succulent! It gives fern vibes in the form of a succulent and I’m low-key obsessed with it.

With Texas summers, a fern would need to be watered daily but a succulent like this thrives in the heat and won’t need as much attention! If you want more color to your front door, try getting Annuals! Depending on your climate they still might need daily watering in the summer. Either way, both are cute!

Doormat Ideas:

Layering is the name of the game here! For versatility purposes, find a larger door rug that is reversible to switch up the style from time to time. The ones from Target are super cute. Also, try customizing your own doormat by using a plain mat and some spray paint!
